Guest post from Mrs. C today: For those of you in Ms. Khan's section of ELA, I have kept the selection of world lit novels on a cart for easy access if you decide you would like to trade in your first selection for something different. Just remember to let me know that you have made a switch so that I can keep track of what you have!
Anyone who desperately wants a book that Ms. Khan discussed which is NOT in our library - head on down to the Cuelenaere library or check online here John M. Cuelenaere Library to search for available titles. If you already have a library card with a PIN assigned you can place holds online and they will email you when the book comes in. If not, make sure to talk to a staff member next time you are there and get a PIN so you can access the collection of the entire province. Super handy when writing essays too.

A Few Reminders... And an interesting read!
Good luck to all seniors as you head into your "celebration of learning" this week! I am including a link to an interesting SHORT article which may encourage you to set aside your cellphones and turn off your computers while you focus on studying. It is titled "Students can't resist distraction for two minutes ... and neither can you". A bit of food for thought as we wrap up our first semester and prepare for a fresh start with semester two!
A reminder to my students working on Canadian history to make use of some our online resources, including the Historica Canada website which includes a link to the Canadian Encyclopedia. Permanent links can also be found under my "useful links" and on Mrs. C's library website.
